Mobile Work Equipment

There are five separate regulations under the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) that covers mobile work equipment. 

This includes Fork Lift Trucks and other self propelled equipment where for instance measures are to be taken to minimise the risk of "rolling over" by providing stabilising devices etc. 

Measures need to be introduced to prevent non authorised persons from starting / operating the equipment and self propelled equipment must automatically stop when out of its operating range. 

Maintenance and inspection activities must be formalised and recorded.
